Red Ribbon Week

THEME: Life is a journey so travel drug free!

MONDAY: 10/22: Wear Red Today! Choose to show your spirit by wearing red and say NO to drugs!

-1st Period teachers hand out wristbands and pledges. -Students turn in pledges on Tuesday-Tuesday, 10/24-10/30/118 at lunch to stage for a prize!

TUESDAY: 10/23: Hype Day! Wear your fun, trendy clothes and “Be hyped to stay drug free!” (camo, clout goggles, sparkles, scrunchies)

-1st Period teachers hand out directions for our BOOKMARK CONTEST: Theme is: “Life is a journey so travel drug free!” -Bookmarks can be turned into the PAL table, at lunch, on Fri. 10/26 on the stage. Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners!!!! –Pledges turned at lunch to stage!

WEDNESDAY: 10/24: Hawaiian Shirt Day! “Lei off Drugs!”

-Turn in Red Ribbon Pledges to the stage at lunch and receive prizes!

-PALS will deliver white chart paper to classrooms to participate in a door decorating contest! Top three 3rd period classes win popcicle party!

THURSDAY: 10/25: Sports Jersey Day! Team Up Against Drugs and wear your favorite teams jersey!

-Turn in Red Ribbon Pledges to stage at lunch and receive prizes!

-Lunch Time Activity: Make friendship bracelets with your friends!

Thursday, October 25th
7th Grade Musical, MPR 7:00 – 8:00 pm

FRIDAY: 10/26: Pajama Day! Drugs make you snooze!

-Turn in Red Ribbon Pledges to stage at lunch and receive prizes!

-Turn in finished bookmarks to the stage at lunch! -PAL kids judge the bookmarks and make an announcement of the top three winners on Monday, 10/29/18, during announcements. 1st prize: $15.00 Rubys gift card, 2nd prize: $10.00 Starbucks gift card, 3rd prize: $5.00 Target gift card.

MONDAY: 10/29: Crazy Hair Day! Hairs to a drug free life!

-Door Decorating Contest judging today during 3rd Period!

-Final day to turn in Red Ribbon Week Pledges to the stage at lunch and receive prizes!

TUESDAY: 10/30: Wear Pink Today! Breast Cancer Awareness Month

-Door Decorating Contest winning classrooms will be announced during Morning Announcements! -Bookmark Contest winners will be announced during Morning Announcements! -Red Ribbon Week Assembly Schedule today during 6th period. Refer to Assembly Schedule and NO SWELL TODAY!

WEDNESDAY: 10/31: Wear Orange and Black to “Scare Away Drugs!”

-PALS clean up RRW decorations during 3rd period

Students, please begin creating your original art entries for next school year’s Reflections program!

6 different categories to choose from:

Dance Choreography, Film Production, Photography, Musical Composition, & Visual Arts.

This is the 50th year of the Reflections art program.

The theme for 2018-19 school year will be “HEROES AROUND ME”
